Inspired by Walt Disney’s personal example and lasting legacy of excellence as a dreamer, a creator and an inspiration, The Walt Disney Legacy Award is a global recognition program celebrating Walt Disney’s lasting legacy by acknowledging outstanding Cast, Crew, Imagineers and Employees worldwide who put forth their very best for our Guests – or in our case – our Members, their fellow Employees and the Company.
Last month we are proud to share that Senior Talent Development Partner Selina Sites was recognized by her leadership and peers as the 2022 Walt Disney Legacy Award Recipient for Partners Federal Credit Union.
With nearly 20 years at The Walt Disney Company and Partners, Selina has a rich background in training and talent development. She is a certified instructional designer who supports the credit union in delivering virtual and in-person instruction for banking, customer/member satisfaction, team building, and transformational leadership. Selina is also currently studying with the Health Coaching Institute for her certification as a Health and Life Coach and is on pace to graduate in December.
“Teaching people is fun. That’s what I do. I have a passion for people, for helping people. My job reflects that passion as I enable Cast Members to thrive,” she said.
At the announcement of the award, Selina was presented the framed certificate, flowers, and a distinct blue nametag and Legacy pin worn only by Walt Disney Legacy Award recipients. This allows for on-going recognition of Walt Disney Legacy Award recipients – past and present – who put forth their very best efforts for our Guests, their fellow Cast and the Company.
In describing how Selina demonstrates the ideals of “dream, create and inspire,” one nominator shared
“Selina is passionate about her role in the organization and views it as a badge of honor to equip and enable Cast to make all financial dreams come true.” Another nominator said, “Selina is a long-tenured Cast Member who has earned this highly selective level of recognition, through her consistency in demonstrating the criteria not just for a couple of years, but for nearly two decades.”
