Celebrate with Partners

To celebrate, Partners has teamed up with Disney’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Business Employee Resource Groups to create our commemorative red envelopes to Members in Anaheim, Burbank/Glendale, Orlando, and throughout Disney campuses. 

This year’s red envelopes were designed by Amy Trinh, a designer on the Cast Activities Team at the Disneyland Resort. The design reflects the spirit of the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant envelopes she received from family members growing up, Amy incorporated classic Disney characters alongside symbols of perseverance, prosperity, and abundance. The traditional red and gold color palette adds a touch of cultural authenticity, representing good fortune and luck.

Amy shared that as a child, she would receive red envelopes and blessings from her family, often in a mix of Chinese and Cantonese. These blessings included wishes of prosperity and success in school and her future career. Her mom also taught her the importance of saving and investing for her future.

Lunar New Year holds deep meaning for Amy as a time to celebrate heritage and family traditions. She fondly recalls large family gatherings where they made  tangyuan 湯圓 (sweet rice balls symbolizing togetherness) and shared symbolic dishes like fish (魚 yú), representing abundance in the coming year.

Her design is a tribute to these cherished memories and the rich diversity of cultures that celebrate this special occasion.
